Johan Martinez-Khalilian

"I started working with Johan in the summer of 2021 after departing as head coach of Penn States Men’s basketball team. Before connecting with Johan I spent a great deal of time trying to figure out, “What’s next?” A career in Real Estate? A job as an executive coach? Or, do I get back to my passion for coaching basketball at the collegiate level? I was on a roller coaster ride of confusion, uncertainty, fear, and despair. Fortunately, Johan entered my life at a time when I needed some guidance, a different way of thinking, different perspectives & new BELIEFS! He invited me to dive into my fixed mindset about society and asked me, “What would you choose if you knew you wouldn’t fail?” I knew my answer instantly, returning to my passion for coaching basketball on a collegiate level. In one of our sessions, he said, “The best is yet to come” and it instantly became my mantra! With a crystal clear vision, weekly sessions, commitments, and integrity check-ins. I was able to hit markers and goals that kept my eyes on the prize while witnessing my real-time progress. As I write this, I’m proud to say my work with Johan paid off. I am the New Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Florida Gulf Coast University and “The best is yet to come!”
