Jay Wilson

Jay is an executive coach and counselor who draws on 15 years of experience walking alongside individuals as they pursue personal growth and professional development. His background as a licensed therapist makes him a keen observer of underlying patterns in individuals. Jay will guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself and others in supporting your organization's efficiency and effectiveness.

He is effective in helping leaders grow in self-awareness and self-knowledge and providing tangible ways for leaders to develop. His focus on a clients inner world allows them to recognize their default patterns for decision-making, leading, and blindspots that negatively impact their work and organization. Identifying these critical aspects of a person's way of relating allows for more intentional and effective leadership.

Jay not only works with individuals but also with the systems of an organization. Jay views these systems as dynamic, active, and constantly reinforcing norms. These norms in turn shape the culture and experience of a team, and when they are not intentionally shaped, can lead to organizational blind spots. Jay can also help you zoom out, recognize, and reflect on organizational dynamics impacting the team so that leaders can intentionally effect change for high-performance and supportive cultures.

Jay works with founders, C-level executives, director-level individuals and individual contributors looking to be more present as they engage their work, navigate relationships with key employees, and build a culture of empathy, creativity, and support.

When Jay is not coaching, he enjoys reading, playing basketball with his kids, cooking, and fishing.
